Rudy Fernandez Wants Out of the NBA

Rudy Fernandez wants to be traded out of Portland or released from the NBA altogether. The 6'6" Spaniard hates playing for coach Nate McMillan because he doesn't get to be a playmaker. He also hates coming off the bench behind Brandon Roy.
Fernandez was recently fined $25,000 for publicly demanding a trade. His agent, Andy Miller, said the Blazers' malcontent is willing to sit out two years of basketball to avoid playing another game in Portland.
Fernandez wants to return home to play in Spain. He was a champion and a multiple MVP winner in the EuroChallenge, Euroleague and Eurocup. While in Spain, Fernandez played with another Spanish NBA pretender, Ricky Rubio. They dominate in their homeland and see no reason to let NBA players expose their limited skills.
Pau Gasol needs to talk to his baby countrymen. Pau is a two time champ who inspires some NBA zealots to say he's the best big man in the NBA. His brother Marc Gasol is on the rise with the Grizzlies, improving each year he's been in the league. If they can do it, why can't Rudy and Ricky?
Rudy Fernandez needs to man up and shut up. The Celtics and Bulls have each offered their first round draft picks in 2011 and the Knicks have offered Wilson Chandler for Fernandez. His deadly shooting skills from downtown would stretch the floor and be effective on all those teams.
Or he can keep going the Tracy McGrady route, looking for a situation where he can be the Man. Maybe he should try Cleveland.
