Gone Clubbin'

TNT's Kenny Smith & Charles Barkley like to close out on losing NBA playoff teams by saying that they've gone' fishin'. Yet we don't usually hear about NBA players spending their off days sitting on ponds, drinking beer and waiting for trout to come along. Instead, they're usually at the club or on the beach. So instead of "gone fishin'", we "gone clubbin'" with the dancers of each ousted team since those girls give glimpses of the fun in their cities.
First stop, Miami. This city is a distraction for all road teams with it's beaches, night life and women. Many players will be spending time this off-season enjoying all that South Beach has to offer.
Next stop, Chicago. Joakim Noah might find Cleveland boring, but he should be happy that girls like these Luvabull lovelies will be on the beaches of Lake Michigan by day and in the clubs at night.
In Charlotte, these aren't their grandpappy's Southern Belles. Times have changed in Charlotte so the night life has to be more fun than fishing.
Next up is Dallas where they try to do everything bigger and better. If the Cowboy cheerleaders showed up for the NBA All Star Game with big smiles & high flying kicks, imagine what they're like at the club at night.
Last stop for this ride is Portland. There's a lot of beautiful nature in Oregon. But I bet Greg Oden would rather be engaging chaps and ass than large mouth bass.
Yet here may be NBA players who really do like fishing. Check out the fish Noah caught in shallow water last off season.

Dwight Howard Bitches, But He's Moving On!!!

Dwight Howard has broken the first rule of DPOY Club- "Don't foul out on cheap calls and then bitch about it." His poor techniques have led his teammates to call him "Foul on You." In round one, he committed 22 fouls in 4 games against the Bobcats who don't have a truly dominant low post threat on either end of the court.
Howard gets boards and blocks. He is a force in the paint with great size and strength.
"My teammates say when we wrestle I shouldn't use 100 percent of my strength," he said before game 4. "They said I should use 50 or 40 percent. So that's been the main focus, using 40 percent of my strength to hold guys off." He fouled out anyway.
Yesterday Howard was fined $35,000 in David Stern's new "Don't Dis My Refs" campaign which is steadily approaching it's goal of raising a million dollars during the playoffs. Howard was thoughtful enough to put his complaints in his blog instead of using the mainstream media, but Czar Stern zapped him anyway.
In his blog entry called "More frustration, but we're moving on!!!" Howard wrote, "I'm not looking to say anything to get myself in trouble with the league, but I just don't see other star players getting called for fouls the way I get them. No star player in the league is outta games the way I am. I even talked to Pat Ewing about his career and he said he never had foul trouble like what I'm going through." That's because Patrick had skills getting positioning in the paint and boxing out. Ditto Shaq, Tim Duncan and any other "star player" big man.
Bitching about the refs after winning a four game sweep is weak. A DPOY bitching about ticky tack calls night after night is dubious. Magic coach Stan Van Gundy complained that Howard wasn't being seriously considered for MVP. Please. How about Dwight Howard, Whiner Of The Year.

I want to be a Roitfeld

Carine revealed on CNN

In a game of Who-is-the-best-editior-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld has Anna Wintour beat. The CNN camera crews have been following her around during Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks.Karl Lagerfeld, Hedi Slimane, Marc Jacobs, Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier are talking about the most fashionable woman in the world.
We heart Carine.

Knick Fans, Wade Is Now Available

Most Knick fans are excited about the possibility of signing LeBron James during the coming off-season. Message to New Yorkers- even if Beyonce left Jay Z for him, even if Mayor Bloomberg renamed it the Empire of LeBron Building, James is not leaving the Cleveland. He'll toy with any team that wants to boost his value and ego, but he'll ultimately stay at home. He idolizes Michael Jordan and calls financial genius Warren Buffet for advice. Jordan is now working back home in Carolina and Buffet never left Nebraska. James knows the value of home and family and he will stay loyal to the Cavs who have done everything they can to make him happy in Ohio.
Dwyane Wade is a more realistic, and possibly better option for New York anyway.
He's a finals MVP champion who continues to make the playoffs with little help and disappointing results. He's craving a new environment more than LeBron because he knows what winning feels like and he knows how far the Heat are from a title.
Wade will rock the Garden with the best dunks by a Knick since Sprewell's open court 2 handed mega dunks. He's athletic and will do well in D'Antoni's system. He'll be the best defensive player D'Antoni's ever coached. His presence will make NY more enticing for Chris Bosh or Amar'e Stoudemire. If David Lee stays with the Knicks, he will be an even better player alongside Wade.
Miami fans got to see Wade at his best in his last home game. 46 points & 5 assists in an all out effort to avoid playoff elimination at home. He left it all on the court to the delight of the party crowd.
Now it's time to move on to bigger and better.
Miami's got beaches, parties & fun. Coney Island ain't much, but the parties and fun are even bigger in NY. Champions in New York are celebrated royally with media blasting the news louder than anywhere else.
Besides, New Yorkers hate Boston and the Celtics just knocked Wade out of the playoffs. What could be a better fit?

Suspensions Over Najera

Eduardo Najera's gentle caress of referee Bob Delaney shortly after he mauled Manu Ginobili may have been enough to show Czar David Stern that he was more than just a goon from Chihuahua. Najera will not be suspended for game 5 against the Spurs.
However, there will be a different suspension related to the Najera foul. Dallas radio personality Mike Bacsik of KCTK was suspended for racist tweets he posted shortly after the play. Bacsik is the former pitcher who served up Barry Bonds' record breaking 756th home run. Now he's known for serving racist tweets like "Congrats to all the dirty mexicans in San Antonio" after Najera clotheslined Ginobili.
It's harder to forgive a drunk ex-jock for being a public jackass than it is to look past a momentary loss of control by Eduardo Najera, the greatest Mexican player in NBA history.
2008 Miss Mexico Elisa Najera (unrelated) agrees.

Agyness's sister designs for Uniqlo

The concept is simple: tanks and t-shirts featuring pictures taken by Aggy and Emily of their favourite activities in New York. The model was wearing it backstage at the Anna Sui fashion show and it dragged a lot of attention to her little sis'. Later on Uniqlo approached Agyness for a fashion line and she naturally suggested her sister.

Easy to wear, I personally think it would look pretty awesome teamed up with a micro denim short, a skinny jeans or a leather trousers. Starting this Friday, April 30th, they are sure to go fast, so trade your high heels for a pair of ballerinas and run to the closest Uniqlo shop

Cigarette filters made with pig's blood

Muslims and Jews all over the world are pissed off with tobacco companies, as a book by cute blonde Dutch author Christien Meindertsma has revealed that pig’s blood is used in the production of cigarette filters: the haemoglobin inside absorbs some of the cancerous chemicals in tobacco smoke.

My N.1 Fashion inspiration

What can I say that hasn't been said a thousand times before?
I know , most of you will say that she shouldn't even bother wearing clothes.
She is incredible, enigmatic, model, actress, movie director, singer, sensual, mysterious...
Scandalous... With the song "Je t'aime, moi non plus.." sung in French by both Gainsbourg and Birkin to a background of increasing sexual moans and groans from Birkin and culminating in her simulated orgasm at the song's conclusion.
Amazingly perfect... when she played the title role in Elektra, directed by Philippe Calvario in France in 2006
Generous... with her hard work with Amnesty International on immigrant welfare and AIDS issues.
So stylish that Hermes named and designed a handbag — the Birkin bag — for her in 1984. On flight from Paris to London, Jane Birkin pulled her Hermes datebook out of her bag and all her papers fell on the floor. She complained to the passenger sitting next to her that the book should have pockets. That passenger was the chairman of Hermes; Jean-Louis Dumas, and after hearing her complain he created the Birkin bag.
She shared her life with John Barry, Serge Gainsbourg and Jacques Doillon

In a word she led the life with we are all dreaming of !

What is intriguing and amazing with Jane is that she has become the fashion Icon she doesn't even know she is !
Her penchant for going bra-less and wearing skirts so short they scarcely covered her rear end further enhanced her image as a free-spirited product of her time.

Her style is today revered by the likes of Alexa Chung and her daughters Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, all of whom emulate her boyish, sexy chic.
Genetic hybrid of the Venus de Milo and Mick Jagger, she inspires my style and helps my crazy-self to slow down my sometimes hectic pace of life, thanks to her spellbinding melodies.

Song of the Day

The song of the day is Marina & The Diamonds's brilliant cover of 3oh3!'s Starstrukk.
I think it's much better than the original

Manu Mans Up

Manu Ginobili is a playoff warrior. Friday night he broke his nose on Dirk Nowitzki's elbow. He got a bandage on the outside and plugs on the inside to stop the bleeding. He returned to the action and finished with 15 points in 36 minutes in a big Spurs win over the Mavericks.
Adrenaline is a wonder drug and it appeared that Ginobili was running on high octane. Would he be able to bounce back 2 days later in game 4? Would he need a protective mask like Richard Jefferson? If tough guys like Bill Laimbeer needed a mask, surely Ginobili would wear one.
Nope. He opted for a giant band aid in Game 4 and play as hard as anyone else on the court. No fear of contact and no hesitation in the paint. He slashed through the lane on offense & even put his nose directly in the fray, fighting for a loose ball with Jason Kidd.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle went old school and sent Eduardo Najera in to intimidate Ginobili. In his only minute of play, Najera put a flagrant 2 clothesline hit on Ginobili that sent him to the floor hard. Ginobili stayed down for a few seconds before popping up and showing no signs of even having been touched. Najera was ejected, mission failed.
Rick Carlisle seemed pleased with Najera's play in his 47 seconds of action. "He was in there a short period of time but made an aggressive play at least," said Carlisle after the game when asked about Najera. If that's their strategy against the Spurs, the Mavs may not see Game 6.
When Ginobili was asked about Najera's play, he said "He just fouled me hard. No big deal."
You can't spell Manu without m-a-n.

Giles Deacon's officially in at Ungaro

This morning JCreport Editor Jason Campbell tweeted:
It's official Giles Deacon is in at Ungaro.
He is following Giambattista Valli, Peter Dundas, Vincent Darre, Esteban Cortazar and then (I know that it always brings the LOLs) Lindsay and Estrella.
We are pretty confidant and almost sure that Giles is going to do an amazing job. It is quite reassuring to know that he cannot make things worst.
