Kelly Rowland in "King" magazine and more!

Kelly appeared in the July/August 2007 "King" magazine. Enjoy the pictures!
Here's an update on Kelly. Soone she will be doing some shows in the US, most of them with also R&B singer Mario. The shows will begin on late October until November. The dates and locations are listed at Ticketmaster

Kelly recently talked about the upcoming re-release of her sophomore album "Ms. Kelly".

Here's what she said: Are you reissuing "Ms. Kelly?" "I am actually. I'm going back into the studio to do some more songs. I was very apprehensive at first, but I swallowed my pride. The record industry is very different. Things are going more digital and I want to accommodate my fanbase.

It looks like Kelly Rowland is really trying her best to make it in the music industry, so far it's been tough, let's wish her the best! I do think that making some new songs is a good idea.

Annie Lennox's New Album - "Songs of Mass Destruction"

Annie Lennox is releasing her 5th solo effort, Songs For Mass Destruction October 2nd but for now the velvet voiced singer's newest work has been leaked.

3. Smithereens
4. Ghosts In My Machine
5. Womankind
6. Through The Glass Darkly
7. Lost
8. Coloured Bedspread
9. Sing
10. Big Sky
11. Fingernail Moon

Mariah Carey - "M" Commercial

Here's the official tv commercial for the new Mariah Carey fragrance called "M by Mariah Carey". It features new vocals that Mariah created and recorded especially for this ad. Finally, it's been confirmed Mimi's new album will be in stores on December 4th.

Go Beyonce!

Beyonce was supposed to perform in Kuala Lumpur on November 1st, however it has been cancelled due to protests by Muslim groups.

Industry insiders tell Billboard magazine that they did not apply for a license because Beyoncé did not want to comply with the strict dress code requirements.

I really respect Beyonce for her decision, an artist should be able to perform the way he/she wants, you shouldn't restrict them. It's really a pitty for those who were looking forward seeing her, but then again the country mainly supports a religion that would never allow to even see a woman without a vail.

Music should never be affected by such things, artists should be free!

New Jennifer Lopez song - "Mile in These Shoes"

A new song from Jennifer's new album "Brave" has leaked, it's called "Mile In these Shoes".

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Britney Spears - "Believe Ad"

I would say that launching a new fragrance is the smartest move Britney has done in a long time. The ad looks great, actually it looks exactly like Britney used to look like.

Nicole Scherzinger - "Whatever You Like" On Pepsi Smash

Nicole Schertzinger is promoting the release of her up-coming album which will be released on November 6th. Here, she's promoting "Whatever You Like" at Yahoo's Pepsi Smash. Her performance here looks better than the original video, however I just don't like this song.

Which video do you like best the original, or this one?

Natasha Bedingfield - "The Invisible Spice Girl"

I have to say that I am really not a fan of this Spice Girls reunion, I was never into them and they don't inspire me at all. Recently J-Lo said that she wanted to join them on their tour and be a Spice Girl herself, now Natahs Bedingfield is saying the same:

A source says:

"Singer Natasha Bedingfield wants to spice up her pop career - she would love to write new songs for the reformed Spice Girls."

"The pretty British musician was a huge fan of the all-conquering girl group in the late 90s - and would love to work with them in the future."

She says, “I really like the Spice Girls and I want to go and see them on the tour. I should write for them and could be Invisible Spice. I’d love that.”

I would understand why a young teenager might get excited about the Spice Girls, but adults no. What do you think?

Mary J. Blige - Snippet of "Just Fine"

With Mary J Blige's new album 'Growing Pains' set for a November release, a snippet of the CD's supposed first single has surfaced. Titled 'Just Fine', the mid-tempo track sees the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul in much happier place.

Jay-Z's Album Cover for "American Gangster"

(source: Rap-Up.com)

Here is the rumored album cover for Jay-Z’s American Gangster, due out November 6th. The cover is cool, but honestly I'm not crazy about "Blue Magic", what about you?
If you haven't heard it yet, check it out on my playlist!

What's it gonna be M by Mariah or Unforgivable by P.Diddy?!

As you already know by now P. Diddy has challenged a few female celebrities for the battle of the best fragrance as he believes to know better than anyone of them how a woman should smell like.

P. Diddy said: This week I am going to challenge my female counterparts, from J. Lo, Mariah [Carey], Sarah Jessica Parker to Gwen Stefani, that my fragrance is better than theirs,"

Mariah's response was: "I heard about this competition, and I wish Puff all the best with his new fragrance, but I think we're actually appealing to different types of women. M by Mariah Carey is about being unforgettable, not unforgivable. It's not about a ménage à trois or a one night stand, it's for the woman who wants the man to fall in love with her immediately, stay in love, and treat her like royalty."

Here's P. Diddy's video of Unforgivable (which I already posted
here)

Here's an official video of M, however I do think that it exactly shows how Mariah feels about her own fragrance.

So what's it gonna be, Mariah or P. Diddy, what do you think? Should a woman's fragrance be about sex or about the way a woman should be treated by the man she's in love with? I'm on Mariah's side on this one!

"Madonna at 50"

The Queen of pop is planning another world tour next year to celebrate turning 50.

Madonna, who turns 50 next August, will call the tour “Madonna at 50.”

There aren't any details about dates yet, but her fans can be sure that she will be touring.

A source from Ireland online says: "This is a sign of the times. At this stage in her career Madonna realises she stands to make more money from touring - $260m (€184.25m) on her last tour - than releasing records. So she wants to go with a company that can look after both rather than being tied to a record company."

Hopefully, this time her tickets will be more affordable, after all it should be about the music and bringing it as much as possible to her fans.

Will you go see "Madonna at 50"???

Chaka Khan's new album: "Funk This"!

Chaka Khan's new album "Funk This" is out and it is fabulous! It covers tunes by the likes of Prince, Joni Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix. Chaka teamed up with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to make "Funk This," which is being released by the Sony-distributed Burgundy Records imprint.

The album mixes originals and covers Prince's "Sign O' the Times," Mitchell's "Ladies Man," Hendrix's "Castles Made of Sand," a Rufus medley of "Pack'd My Bags" and "You Got the Love," and a duet with Michael McDonald on "You Belong to Me," which he co-wrote with Carly Simon.

Chaka also duets with Mary J. Blige on the track "Disrespectful," and she hopes "Funk This" fills what she feels has been a void since her last album, the 1998 Reprise release "Come 2 My House."

"Funk This" Playlist:

1. Back In The Day
2. Foolish Fool
3. One For All Time
4. Angel
5. Will You Love Me?
6. Castles Made Of Sand
7. Disrespectful featuring Mary J Blige
8. Sign 'O' The Times
9. Pack'd My Bags/You Got The Love featuring Tony Maiden
10. Ladies' Man
11. You Belong To Me featuring Michael McDonald
12. Hail To The Wrong
13. Super Life

What do you think of her cover, is it going to make any difference in terms of sales? I do like this cover it has an innocent and pure look to it.

New Video: Nicole Scherzinger ft. Will.I.Am - Baby Love

Nicole will probably do much better with this video and song than with "Whatever You Like", the sound of "Whatever You Like" just wasn't right.

Christina and Tony Bennett - "Steppin Out"

I haven't posted anything about Christina for a while, and I'm sure you've all been missing her.

Here's her performance at the 2007 Emmy Awards singing "Steppin Out" with Tony Bennett.

I really think that they are an amazing duet and I love this retro, jazzy kind of music.
