Kyrylo Fesenko is Baby Drago- the spawn of Apollo-Creed-slaying, minimal-word-saying, Russian boxing champ Ivan Drago & his Olympic swimmer wife Ludmilla from Rocky 4. You know- "If he dies, he dies."
Baby Drago has crashed into this year's playoffs with a chance to help elevate the Utah Jazz to round 2 despite the losses of Mehmet Okur and fellow Russian Andrei Kirilenko.
Before last night's game, he said that he and the other Jazz center, Kosta Koufos, would use physical play to slow Nene of the Nuggets in the paint. "We got 12 fouls for one position. Why not take them?" Sounds just like his boxer father's line, "I must break you."
He followed through with 5 fouls in 19 minutes and the Jazz dominated when he was on the court.
Nene, if it comes to it, Dive!
Not only are the Nuggets in Baby Drago's path of destruction. Backboards are also feeling the pain.
Maybe we'll see a broken backboard like this in Utah.
