Charlie Sheen : May spend time in Aspen jail

The bad-boy actor Charlie isn't going to be living in a van down by the river any time soon — thanks to a recent multimillion deal with CBS for his work on "Two and a Half Men" — although he might be cooling his heels in jail for a while. But it's a jail in Aspen.

UsMagazine.com reports that Sheen is preparing to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge in connection with his Christmas Day arrest for assaulting wife Brooke Mueller in the ski-resort town and will likely spend time in Aspen's Pitkin County Jail.

The jail has a gym where inmates play volleyball, dormitory-like cells, and co-ed living spaces filled with plants, TVs, games, paintings and ambient lighting.

As part of a plea deal with the Colorado district attorney's office, Sheen, who has been in and out of rehab, may face up to 45 days behind bars in the jail, UsMagazine.com reports, adding that in exchange for Sheen's plea, a felony menacing charge will be dropped.

A rep for the actor said that Sheen, who previously pleaded not guilty to all counts, has not "agreed to do anything except enter into discussions with the court."

"He has been accused of a crime. Prior to any trial, courts would like to work out a plea," the rep added. "It saves the court money, it saves the community money. If they can do it, they will. If they can't decide on something, they will go to trial."

A June 7 court date has been added to Sheen's already scheduled court appearance on June 18 as a result of settlement talks.
