She was a favorite pin up in my fathers garage when I was a child.
Thank you Mr. President.....One less on the short list.
(The Hill)- President Obama pointedly praised on Monday the healthcare program Republican Mitt Romney installed as governor of Massachusetts.
Obama singled out Romney for praise over his healthcare plan, which shares similarities with the president’s own healthcare reform law, in a bit of backhanded praise for the likely Republican presidential candidate.
“I agree with Mitt Romney, who’s recently said he’s proud of what he accomplished in Massachusetts,” Obama said at a gathering of governors at the White House.

GREGORY: Thanks, Christiane. We're here with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker who stands at the center of a storm that pits him against the powerful public sector unions. Governor, why aren't you giving in on collective bargaining since they've generously agreed to chip in to their retirement and health care plans?
WALKER: David, is it okay if I call you schmuck? Okay, schmuck, we have a $3.6 billion deficit and I've resolved not to kick the can down the road, got it? Even today, the unions are rushing to school boards trying to jam through contracts that have zero contributions to their health care and pension plans. And at least in one school system, they're pushing through salary increases as well.
CHEYENNE — Wyoming moved a step closer on Friday to allowing people to carry concealed guns without a permit.
The Wyoming House of Representatives voted 49-9 for a bill that would allow law-abiding state citizens over age 21 to carry concealed guns in most places. They would still be banned in some places, including schools, bars and some government buildings.
The Senate already has approved the bill and it now goes to Republican Gov. Matt Mead.
I was born and raised in Wyoming, its good to see the peoples Government follow the constitution. A big tip of the cowboy hat to Conservative Scalawag.
Hollywood Actress Amber Heard who attended GLAAD's 25th Anniversary event in Hollywood late last year with partner Tasya van Ree, credits the organization for allowing her to come out.
“GLAAD is one of the many reasons that I, as a 24-year-old, can come out.”
Heard later says about the media attention surrounding her sexuality,
“I’m not one to talk about my personal life as I prefer to keep that as private as possible,” she told. “Since that event, there has been a lot of media attention surrounding my relationship.
“It’s been frustrating as I don’t label myself one way or another — I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love, it’s the person that matters.”
His boss bows all over the world, but Interior Secretary Ken Salazar won't bow to political pressure.
The economy will head south(farther south) when gas hits $4.00 a gallon. That is the tipping point.
(RigZone) — Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said that U.S. regulators would not bow to political pressure to restart deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico before they are certain the oil-and-gas industry is capable of containing an oil spill like the one that followed last BP’s Deepwater Horizon disaster.
Those of us who remember gas lines and shortages won't stand for this again. Ask that peanut farmer from Georgia.
Now its just an attempt at farming? Hell I have a shovel, rake and grow an occasional tomato.... One of the best roundups of coverage I have seen on this story comes from Sad Hill News. And a great picture too!
In 1997’s Pigford vs. Glickman case, approximately 400 African (hyphen) American farmers sued the US Department of Agriculture claiming racial discrimination from 1983-1997. When the case was settled an estimated 2,000-3,000 claims were expected to be filed with awards reaching $50,000 each. Today, nearly 92,000 black ‘farmers’ are claiming ‘Pigford’ reparations — 5 times the number of blacks who were operating farms at the time.
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is not closing the door to being considered for the vice presidential spot, despite only having served in Congress for less than three months.
Speculation over West was sparked Friday when former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), who is considering a presidential bid, said that a number of Florida GOP politicians would do well as vice president, including West.

Singer Christina Aguilera doesn’t act sexy for the men in the world — she does it for herself!“I feel sexuality to be very empowering,” the 29-year-old singer, who raises son Max with husband Jordan Bratman, told Britain’s Company magazine.
“I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, ‘Oh it must be for a man.’“If I want to be sexual, it’s for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That’s why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty.” Aguilera married Bratman almost five years ago,she knew her husband was The One the first time they met.
“Everything was a little blurry and he was the one concrete person that I could trust,” she said. “He was centered, grounded and always helped me see the positive in the negative. He would lift me out of my black hole of sometimes feeling sucked in by the negativity of people around me. My husband is the calm in the storm.”
Christina recently revealed that she has a tendency to “get into girls”.
“My husband knows that I get into girls. I think it’s fun to be open and play. The line is real to me,” she said. “My husband and I check in with each other, but I definitely love women. I think they’re more attractive to the naked eye.“I don’t think I could ever really be with a woman because that’s a lot of… estrogen… and I’m a lot to deal with when it’s that time of the month, so I can’t imagine it times two. And… I love d**k. To be honest, that I cannot live without.”
