Obama's Unemployment Numbers

Do the numbers add up?
Well yes they do actually.....

Explained in two sentences.

If you remove 2.33 million people from the labor force within one year, that will indeed help lower the unemployment rate. It is, however, not the same as helping the unemployed find jobs.

The latest jobs report.

The number of people who were “not in the labor force” In March 2010 was 83,264,000 (seasonally adjusted). In March 2011, it was 85,594,000 (seasonally adjusted). If you want to know how unemployment dropped a point, look no further than this statistic.

Sure to be reported by all the major networks right?

Obviously, the Secretary of State has trouble with both math and the law.  There is no “multilateral” waiver in either the WPR or the Constitution, but even if there were, Obama would be the least likely President to qualify for it.   This coalition is the smallest since World War II involving the US in military action, only half the size of  George W. Bush’s Iraq War coalition.

By Thursday morning, Gibbs was insisting that "Obama had wielded the heavier pen."  Added Gibbs, "I think last night was a speech that was very much the president's, and he spent a great deal of time going through his thoughts on this and spent a lot of time working on what he wanted to say," 

Apparently, Gibbs had forgotten that, unlike other political figures, Obama writes his own material.

Obama's Cost Curve (opposite what he said it would be)

Randall Hoven makes it simple enough.....

"Now, the issue of making sure this [health care reform] is deficit-neutral is somewhat separate from the issue of bending the cost curve. I mean, conceivably, you could have a system that pays for itself, but doesn't bend the cost curve; it's going to cost you more and more money. Or, alternatively, you could bend the cost curve, but not expand coverage. I think that it's important to do both. I think it's important for us to make sure that 46 million people who don't have health insurance get it. Jake Tapper needs to stay away from Fort Marcy Park.....
His question to the liar President,

On health care reform, this is six months since health care passed.  You pledged, A, that you would bend the cost curve, and, B, that Democrats would be able to campaign on this.  And CMS reported yesterday that the cost curve is actually bending up:  from 6.1 percent to 6.3 percent post-health care legislation.  And the only Democrats I’ve seen talking about health care legislation are running TV ads saying that they voted against it.
