Janet Jackson is teaming up with Maroon 5!

Janet Jackson’s first album on Island Records Urban will feature work from The-Dream, Rodney Jerkins, and a collaboration with Maroon 5. Her upcoming album is apparently 45 percent done. Nelly wanted to try and pull off the collaboration on his upcoming Brass Knuckles, but he couldn’t come up with a good enough idea for the song. There were talks about a duet with Mariah Carey but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

This is what her producer had to say about the new album: "Probably in February or March or the summer," JD said. "It's 45 percent done. [Singer/songwriter] The-Dream has a song on her album, [as does] Rodney Jerkins. It's gonna be a crazy album. It's a Janet record. I'm A&R-ing, and I'm probably going to be the [executive producer]. But I'm getting records she likes [and] pulling records from other people. She has a duet with Maroon 5. Just little things."
