Rasheed!

Rasheed Abdul Wallace is retiring after 15 years in the NBA.
Sheed is the 2nd best player of all time from Philly behind Wilt Chamberlain. *Italian Mamba ain't really Philly.
Sheed is the all time Tar Heel funk dog.
Sheed was the best Bullets/Wizards draft pick of the last 22 years until this year's John Wall.
The media tried to give Sheed a bad name in Portland. The real fans showed him love by wearing matching Sheed hookups to their prom. Whoever that girl is, amen sista!
The media also said Sheed would be a distraction to the Pistons who'd been having problems getting past the conference finals.
Sheed became a vital part of Detroit's 2004 championship run.
Maybe the best part of Sheed's game was how much fun he had with his teammates. He kept everybody loose on the plane & the bus, in the locker room & on the court.
Check out this video where he dances during player intros before telling the Pistons, "Get y'alls bitch ass out there and play hard goddammit."
He had nicknames for all his teammates & even kept up rituals with ex-teammates like Ben Wallace.
In 2009, Ex-ref Tim Donaghy acknowledged that some NBA referees had biases against Rasheed leading to unwarranted technical fouls. "Rasheed Wallace was someone I don't believe anyone cared for," Donaghy said. "Looking back, it's probably because he's one of the smartest players in the league. He was outspoken about how there were biases and how relationships affected the refereeing."
Check this video of Sheed getting a technical for staring with no extra words or gestures.
After hearing Donaghy's words, Sheed said, "Hey it let's people know that I ain't a liar. Everyone thought I was crazy and militant, but hey, it came to light."
Sheed played the best basketball of his last season during the playoffs. He hit big buckets & played effective defense in helping the Celtics get past the Heat, Cavs & Magic. He also was a big part of why the finals with the Lakers went down to the wire in game 7.
What's next for Sheed- maybe coaching?
Flip Saunders thinks so. "He has all the makings of a great coach," Flip said. "He sees things before they happen."
Carolina assistant Bill Guthridge said, "He absorbed everything. He'd be listening even if what was said wasn't directed at him. He had great savvy. Almost point guard savvy."
Coach don't lie.
Check out Sheed in the clutch tying a game with a last second shot.

Sheed finished his career 91st all time in points, 83rd all time in boards, 35th all time in blocks and 1st in technical fouls. His skills & personality will be missed.
Sheed, tell us what really happened out there?
