On July 21, Delonte West goes on trial for weapons possession. Last September, he was pulled over for an unsafe lane change while he was driving a Can Am Spyder (pictured above). He voluntarily told the cop that he had a gun. The cop conducted a full search and found a Ruger .357 magnum strapped to West's leg, a Beretta 9mm in his waistband and a shotgun in a guitar case over his shoulder, all loaded.
Arenas joked around with a gun in the locker room. Rodman slept with a shotgun in his lap parked in the Pistons' parking lot. But riding around wild West style with 3 loaded pieces ready to roll?
Maybe he's collecting guns like he's collecting tattoos.
Or maybe that's just Delonte Wild West.
There once were rumors about Dwyane Wade dating Star Jones. And then there were the facts and rumors surrounding Dirk's jungle fever baby mama drama last summer. And way back in the day, there were rumors that teammates Jason Kidd and Jim Jackson demanded trades because of a feud over singer Toni Braxton.
Delonte West is rumored to be sleeping with LeBron's mom. Not his wife. Not his sister. His mom.
If it's true, maybe it's payback on LeBron for this:
Even so, the whole mom angle is taking Rumorville to a higher heinous level, kinda like 3 loaded guns on a Spyder trike.
I mean, have you ever been rumored to be with your co-worker's mom?
Or how about this- imagine if this dude was rumored to be getting with your mom behind your back?
Wild Delonte West is under contract for one more year with Cleveland. Will the mom rumors, truthful or otherwise, have any impact on LeBron's decision to stay or go? Will the judge, fair or otherwise, find reason to send Delonte to jail for up to 3 years?
July will reveal all answers for Delonte and for the Cavs.
