What an ugly night of madness.
First, the Butler Bulldogs ground out a grimy win over Michigan St 52-50. Butler only shot 30% FG but had 12 steals to beat the Spartans in a war of turnovers & blown layups. A sloppy sludge game that turned out to be the high point of the night.
Next up, West Virginia and Duke.
OK maybe Bob Huggins' daughters were the high point of the night.
The rest of this game was all Blue Devils whooping Mountaineer asses. Duke shot 52% and had more steals (5-1), assists (20-11) and rebounds (27-24).
So instead of seeing her...
...and them in the Finals on Monday,
we'll see
him
Things went from ugly to excruciating for the Mountaineers when Da'Sean Butler hurt his knee and broke down on the court. I think we'd rather have seen more of the Huggins girls, but instead we got a lost episode of the White Shadow.
After the game, I switched over to catch NBA highlights. What was waiting?
Amare pushing Andrew and ambushing my tv with this-
Bogut's agony brought back eerie memories of Patrick Ewing's gruesome injury in the same arena, also underneath the basket. Not only is it tough to see a guy in so much pain with such a heinous injury in his best season to date, but the Bucks season of emergence will now likely end in a first round out in 5 games or less. The struggling Celtics may have just caught a lucky -
Here's video of Bogut's injury- the announcer mentions Theisman. This could be worse.
Is there any chance of Bogut's return this year? Next year?
We'll see.
For now, Go Butler!
