They're alive!

The Digital Death campaign, which started on December 1st to help fight the spread of HIV and AIDS in Africa and India, has reached its goal of $1,000,000 after the sixth day of celebrities - such as Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, and Lady GaGa - refraining from updating their Facebook or Twitter accounts!
According to the campaign's homepage:
With your help we raised over $1,000,000 to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Your generous donations will help bring critical care and medicine to the millions affected by this horrible disease. But so many more still need help. Please continue to BUY LIFE – the one thing none of us can alive without.
What an amazing accomplishment!
And for such an important cause!
Congratulations, guys!

Alicia Keys Gets Her Vogue On

"Soul for me is a nirvana, a state of grace", says the singer. She has stopped going around with a bevy of bodyguards because "if you act like a normal person, people treat you accordingly". And she has learned to reject firmly any attempts at media intrusion into her private life. This does not mean that she did not enjoy posing in front of the camera with her tum. "I like to transform myself like a chameleon. The photos showing me pregnant seemed brave and strong to me, just how I feel at this time".

Alicia Keys and The White Stripes

Alicia Keys has revealed that she hopes to go into the studio with The White Stripes in the near future.

Speaking at a preview for her forthcoming album, she admitted that time constraints had prevented the two acts from working together already.

She said: “I'm dying to work with them. Me and The White Stripes are going to do something crazy. We tried to work something out for this record, but the timing got a little crazy and it didn't come off. I know we can do something next time around."

I'm not sure about this combination, what do you think???

Alicia Keys Teams Up With John Mayer

Alicia Keys & John Mayer have teamed up for Alicia's upcoming album. John talked about working with Alicia on his official web site’s blog on Thursday.

"Alicia and I finally found the time to finish writing a track for her upcoming album… I have never had a better time collaborating in the studio. The song’s called “Lesson Learned” and I can’t wait for the world to hear it."

"This is probably about as obvious as telling you the sky is blue, but Alicia is the most authentic artist of our generation… She’s strong where she needs to be…Not just strong as a woman (there are many strong women out there) but strong as an artist (there are few, regardless of gender). She has the vision DOWN and doesn’t waste time getting there. I collect stickers."

I can't wait to hear her new album in October!!!

Alicia Keys - "The Thing About Love"

Source

I've already posted something about Alicia's new upcoming album, but now I finally have the Live Earth performance of Alicia's "The Thing About Love" which will feature on the album.

This is what she had to say about the album: "Being able to be so free with no expectations ... the results surpass whatever I could imagine," I am thankful and blessed at how this music is coming out."

Alicia was very inspired by her creative freedom, and it will surely show in her new album.

We Now Have Confirmation That R&B Songstress "Alicia Keys" Will Release Her Third Studio Album On October 23rd.

It will be titled "As I Am" & will feature a collaboration with "John Legend", as well as production from "Timbaland", "Linda Perry" & "Stargate". Speaking to MTV earlier this year, Miss Keys said of the highly anticipated record:

"It's coming together incredibly. I am in love with this album. It's very fresh and new"
If it can top her 2003 smash "The Diary Of Alicia Keys" then I will be in love with this album as well. (source: Urban Review)

Finally, Alicia will release a new album, talent like hers should be heard more often.
