Ron Artest Starts Season With Keys to Vegas

Today is "Ron Artest Day" in Las Vegas. Mayor Oscar Goodman will give Artest keys to the city in a ceremony at the Mirage Hotel.
Artest is being honored for his humanitarian work in helping community centers as well as his efforts to increase mental health awareness for children.
Beyond Artest's work in those areas, he's also turned his Twitter account into a source of inspiration for the youth in subjects from academics to drugs & alcohol.
He's a sample of some of Artest's most recent tweets:
"I think science should be the new cool. Like rapping/balling/. many jobs available in technology for the future"
"All my opinions are not intelligent. But how I became a math major was I asked questions. I'm still learning with everything I do in life"
"I think my tweeters should write a one page essay on how we can make america better. Best essay win my 2nd ring"
Artest is picking up right where he left off after his game 7 post game interview and press conference by shining a light on mental health, being one with the community and being down to earth and real with his comments. This year, he's coming in at a better weight (250 down from 265) and with the confidence of championship experience. A more focused and dedicated Ron Artest will be a much bigger challenge for Kevin Durant, LeBron James and all other small forwards in the NBA.
