Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic beat Andy Roddick 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 Wednesday night at the U.S. Open. Tipsarevic moves on to the third round of the Open for the first time.
Even more surprising than the result on the court was the upset in the stands. Biljana Tipsarevic, Janko's hot wife, stole the beauty show from Roddick's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl wife, Brooklyn Decker.
As the match slipped through Roddick's fingers, Biljana's smile showed how happy she was for her man, the luckiest tennis player in the world. Brooklyn, not so much.
Janko Tipsarevic has a tattoo on his arm in Japanese Kanji characters that quotes a passage from "The Idiot" by Dostoyevsky. It says, "Beauty will save the world."
With Biljana, dude's world is saved. No question.
Just one month after marrying his beauty, Tipsarevic will play in the third round at Flushing Meadows for the first time in seven tries. Meanwhile, Roddick failed to make it past the second round of a grand slam tournament for the first time since marrying Decker in April 2009.
Brooklyn's beauty will have to save Roddick's world until Australia 2011.
