Miley Cyrus ::Talks About "Disney Star" Image

Miley Cyrus, most famous for her title role in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," has once again addressed critics of her off-screen behavior, adding that she looks up to "Bad Reputation" punk rocker Joan Jett.Miley Cyrus, 18 and known for pop songs such as "Can't Be Tamed," made her comments about Jett, 52, in an interview published in the September 2011 issue of V magazine.

"People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says 'I'm not 11 years old anymore,' people look down on me," Cyrus told Jett, according to People magazine. "That's why I have always looked up [to] you. When you came out, people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys."
"I love that you never apologized for who you were," Cyrus added. "It's something I had to learn. I'm sick of feeling as if I owe someone an apology for being who I am."

Jett was most popular in the 1980s and spurred hits such as "I Love Rock n' Roll" and "Bad Reputation," the theme song of the short-lived comedy series "Freaks and Geeks." Jett was portrayed by "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart in the 2010 film "The Runaways," which was based on the rocker's former all-girl band.
People quoted Jett as telling Cyrus in the V interview: "I was thinking to myself ... how difficult it must be to lead your life as a teenager with the paparazzi and the amount of press you're surrounded by. "I thought to myself, 'Wow that was kind of a blessing that we didn't have that stuff when I was growing up in The Runaways.'"

Cyrus began her acting career when she was 8 and rose to fame with her role on "Hannah Montana," which ended earlier this year after four seasons.
Cyrus said last year she had outgrown "Hannah Montana" and began raising eyebrows when she showcased a more mature image in performances and music videos.
Cyrus has debuted several tattoos and in July, showed off new ink - an equal sign on her ring finger, which may symbolize her support of marriage equality. The singer has even found a fan in 45-year-old troubled actor Charlie Sheen, who was famously fired from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" earlier this year.

One of Cyrus' most criticized incidents came in December 2010, when a TMZ video showed her smoking the hallucinogenic herb salvia out of a bong and swearing and laughing. Salvia is legal in California.
Cyrus addressed the clip months later, telling Marie Claire magazine: "I'm not perfect. I made a mistake. I'm disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for."
Kelly Osbourne, rocker Ozzy Osbourne's daughter who stars with Cyrus in the upcoming film "So Undercover," defended the singer and actress after the video was published.
During the past year, Cyrus has also had to deal with her parents' near-divorce. Her father and "Hannah Montana" co-star, Billy Ray, and mother Tish announced their plans to end their 17-year marriage in October 2010. In February of this year, Cyrus' father told GQ magazine that "Hannah Montana" "destroyed" his family.
He later called off his divorce and addressed his remarks in an interview on the ABC show "The View" in March, saying: "I don't think Hannah Montana ruined my family. "Now fame, fame is a different animal. You've got to be careful with that thing."

Miley Cyrus : Love Cupcake

Disney Star Miley cyrus was reportedly delighted when she came across a dessert stand backstage at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday (02.04.11) as it was stocked with her favourite type of sweet treat.
An onlooker said to website HollywoodLife:
"Miley was with her publicist and told her to hang on for a second so she could come over to the Sprinkles cupcakes area and get a mini-strawberry and a mini-red velvet cupcake.
"Miley was like, 'You don't understand, Sprinkles is my thing,' and said her mom 'has a cupcake problem' too."

While attending the star studded event in Los Angeles, She was quizzed on rumours she has reunited with former boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
However, she shrugged off the questions, saying only: "Shhh! I'll never tell. My lips are sealed."
Miley Cyrus is preparing to tour Liam's native Australia and she can't wait to get back on the road again.
She told US TV show 'Extra': "I love being on the road and travelling."
Miley and Liam, 21, split last August after around a year of dating, before reconciling the following month and eventually splitting again in November.

Miley Cyrus : In the Coffee Shop

Pop singer Miley Cyrus is all smiles as she heads into a local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for an iced coffee on Saturday afternoon (February 5) in Toluca Lake, California.

She was kind enough to stop and pose with some fans after grabbing her drink and a yogurt to go.

Miley just recently got a new tattoo, in honor of her siblings. 
A friend told the magazine, “It’s a picture of the dream catcher that hangs over her bed with four feathers to represent her four brothers and sisters. The dream catcher is to protect them.”

Hannah Montana Actress Miley C yrus,18, finally puts her Disney Channel role to bed. The finale of "Hannah Montana Forever," will air this weekend.


 The hit TV show launched four years ago and rocketed the young star to massive fame.

Also a new film starring Miley Cyrus is being shot on Tulane’s campus.

The film, titled “So Undercover,” will also star Jeremy Piven, well-known for his role as Ari Gold in “Entourage” and Mike O’Malley, a recurring cast member on “Glee.”

Movie is being directed by Tom Vaughan, whose film credits include “What Happens in Vegas” and “Extraordinary Measures.”

Location Manager Les Arceneaux said filming on campus began in December and will continue through the weekend. “We’ve used the Richardson Building for a couple scenes, and we shot behind the Law School,” Arceneaux said. “We also had a carnival scene set up on Newcomb Quad, and this weekend we’ll be filming on Gibson Quad and inside the architecture building.”

Arceneaux said they picked Tulane as a location for the film because of its traditional appearance and reputation. “The script called for [Miley] to go to an old, prestigious and nice looking school,” Arceneaux said.

Glorioso Casting, a casting studio from Shreveport, La. cast the film and held casting sessions in the Lavin-Bernick Center for students in December. An e-mail from Glorioso Casting on Monday said that students cast as extras for campus filming Saturday are free to invite friends.

Sophomore Emily Rodkin worked as an extra for the film in December.

“We filmed in a big mansion that was the setting of the sorority house,” Rodkin said. “Miley talked to us in between takes and told us about all her tattoos.”

Sophomore Madeline Tideman said she saw Cyrus at Republic during finals week.

“She was partying it up on the second floor,” Tideman said. “Too bad she didn't play ‘Party in the USA.’”

Pop Sensational star Miley Cyrus is said she is 'devastated' after splitting up with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, however, she said to want her ex-boyfriend back.

A source informed Miley thought that Australian actor was 'the one', and that she is hoping to get the relationship back together.

"Miley is devastated. She really thought Liam was the one. Although she did put her career ahead of their relationship, she made it clear to Liam he wouldn't always come second. She's hoping they'll be able to sought things out."

Her new film - 'LOL: Laughing Out Loud', is a remake of the 2008 French comedy film of the same name and recent leaked script details suggest that Cyrus' character will 'smoke drugs' and kiss a female friend in the film.


The movie also stars Ashley Greene, Demi Moore, and Adam Sevani, and is set for release in 2011. Hemsworth, on the other hand, is set to appear alongside Antony Hopkins in the action film 'Arabian Nights', also due for a 2011 release.
The 20-year-old actress was recently spotted alone at a Dave Mattews and concert, according to MTV.

Hannah Montana, debuted in 2006, Miley Cyrus portrays an ordinary teenage girl named Miley Stewart who masquerades as pop star Hannah Montana by night. Her real-life father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, players her on-screen dad, Robby Ray Stewart. The series spurred a 2009 movie and a wide variety of branded merchandise.

In season four, dubbed Hannah Montana Forever, Miley Stewart's family moves into a new house in Malibu, California but she is annoyed that her father has brought along her old childish-looking bedroom furniture and toys as well.She also starts to attend school as alter-ego Hannah Montana because Robby Ray Stewart, missed the deadline to register her as Miley Stewart and finds she attracts more attention from her peers that way.

Also in the fourth season, She sets her father up on a blind date with her school nurse, while her on-screen brother Jackson starts dating the girl next door.
Another episode set to air in August sees Miley Cyrus thanking military families and performing a duet with her father called "Been Here All Along" with her father to a studio audience filled with armed service families.

Over the past few years, Miley Cyrus has recorded pop and rock music, including a single with Bret Michaels of the often-raunchy rock band Poison, performed at concerts before thousands of fans and posed for a semi-revealing Vanity Fair magazine cover that raised controversy due to her young age, self-proclaimed spirituality and her status as a Disney icon.

She has apologized to her fans about the photo, which she said made her feel embarrassed . Miley Cyrus, who turns 18 on November 23, later stirred controversy with concert performances in which she got close to a female dancer, a sexy music video for her song "Can't Be Tamed", off her new album, and leaked footage of her appearing to give a lap dance to Adam Shankman, director of her film The Last Song and a judge of So You Think You Can Dance.
Her moves and more mature fashion style seen in her concert performances contrast with her "good-girl" image as the star of Hannah Montana. Miley Cyrus told Parade magazine in March she has "grown out of" the show.Miley Cyrus says she is comfortable with her body and style and is "not trying to be slutty".
