"Taking My Talents" - The Era of Egos on the Go

Remember when NFL wide receiver Joe Horn used to talk about Joe Horn in the third person? We'd learn from Joe Horn about why Joe Horn felt the way Joe Horn did about things in Joe Horn's life.
Some of today's NBA players are finding that their egos can be too burdensome to bear all the time like Joe Horn did. Miami Heat second fiddle LeBron James knows this feeling all too well.
The self-proclaimed "Chosen-1" carries the weight of his brand on his back wherever he goes. Ringless King James' shoulder blades are scarred with a daily reminder of his unfulfilled destiny as the one chosen.
The singled out Miami Heat co-star's plight inspired him to take third-person-speak to new heights on "The Decision," his groundbreaking one hour mystery docudrama. Speaking with Jim Gray (who once elicited the all-time greatest first person proclamation from Mike Tyson who offered to use his impetuous style and impregnable defense to take hearts and eat children), LeBron invented a portable detachable ego.
"I'm taking my talents to South Beach."
With seven words, number 6 opened a whole new level in the third person game. It's not about LeBron doing it for LeBron or LeBron even leaving Cleveland. It's about LeBron generously donating his abundance of skill to the needy basketball community in Miami. What a thoughtful gesture.
Just today, Al Harrington matched LeBron's offer (in message, if not actual talent level) by tweeting, "I'm taking my Talents to the Mile High." He capitalized "Talents" which may mean that he's even named his donation to Denver.
If even Al Harrington can have portable talents to donate, maybe teams can also donate the talents of unwanted players. Then the Wizards would be able to send the talents of Gilbert Arenas to the Knicks who once did so well with the suspended talents of Latrell Sprewell.
For now I'll take my talents to Twitter to see if any more NBA talent sets are on the move.
