Chaka Khan will attend Dedry Jones's "The Experience" for an intimate interview in Chicago on May 1st. Attendees of "The Experience" will be the first to hear some of the new tracks of her upcoming album, set to be released in August 2007. After the interview, Chaka will meet her fans and sign autographs.

They covered some of their best songs: 'Give it Away', 'Under the Bridge' and "Songbird"

I know that you can't really see them so much in this video but at least you can feel the vibe of the festival. If I find a better video I'll make sure to post it.

Musical - Aretha Franklin

A musical about Aretha Franklin autobiography is scheduled to launch in Detroit sometime during March 2008. The queen of soul will be passing auditions herself in suburban Detroit from May 1st through May 3rd.

There will be singing and non singing parts, therefore for anyone who feels like acting is more their cup of tea they can still try out!

She also received a film offer for the very same musical, and Jennifer Hudson might be considered to play her in the film.

I hope that I will personally see this musical in the future, and hey I would love to also see a movie or musical about Chaka Khan!

Beyonce - Deluxe Edition of B'Day

Beyonce's deluxe edition of B'day will definitely not include "I'm Kissing You", a song originally recorded by Des'ree.

"Unfortunately, there were some misunderstandings regarding whether Des'ree's song '(I'm) Kissing You' was cleared for release in the United States," said Music World Entertainment, which represents Beyonce. (source)

Luckily, the international editition of the album won't be affected because it didn't include the song to start with.

No one on Beyonce's side has yet commented on the incident.

Since I wouldn't want you to miss out on seeing your favortie artist(s) here's an update on upcoming concerts.

-Gwen Stefani: Performing right now!

Her tour starts today in Universal City (L.A.) and ends on August 25th (Honolulu).

She will also be performing in Canada.

-Justin Timberlake:

The U.S. tour will start on June 8th (Memphis) and end on September 17th (L.A.).

He will also perform in Canada from August 18th(Montreal) through August 28th (Edmonton).

-The Police:

The U.S. tour will start on June 6th (Seattle), and end on November 7th (Tampa).

They will also perform in Canada from May 27th (Vancouver), and end on August 11th (Toronto).

Make sure to order your tickets as soon as possible!

Kelly Clarkson on Tour

Kelly will be working very hard this summer by performing in over 40 American and Canadian cities. Her tour will start at the Live Earth concert at the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on July 7th.

Her fans will get a special treat as her new album "My December" is scheduled to be released in the summer.

Kelly is excited to start her tour:

"This will be the biggest tour I've ever done," Clarkson said in a statement. "It's all about the music we're bringing extra musicians and we'll be making an arena environment intimate because I want the fans to be part of the show." (source)

American Idol Gives Back

In an effort to donate as much money as possible for relief programs in America and Africa, American Idol managed to raise an impressive

$60 million.

The two hour special included performers such as Earth Wind & Fire, Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban. In addition, Ellen DeGeneres co-hosted with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday and donated $100,000. Other celebreties such as Ben Stiller and Madonna encouraged viewers to make a donation.

Due to a lawsuit in regards to covering "I'm kissing you" from Des'ree, Beyonce won't publish her Deluxe Edition of her album B'Day.

Unfotunately, Beyonce's management hadn't received complete approval for using the song without changing the title. In addition, no video of this song was to come after its release.

November 1st, 2006 I flew back to my home country (the Netherlands) and finally saw George Michael live!

I must say that it was one of the most exciting moments of my life. He is a true performer, and it is good to see him out there again after being absent for so long. I never thought he'd start touring again, but there I was standing in Ahoy's (Rotterdam) concert hall. I sang my heart out with him and so did everyone else!

I especially liked his performance of "My Mother Had A Brother", it was truly breathtaking! Unfortunately I was unable to take any pictures or film anything but you know me I won't leave you hanging without a nice clip from his concert, enjoy!

My fascination for prince started when I was 11 years old, 15 years later I'm still a loyal fan.

He's been performing in Las Vegas for the past couple of months and I heard that his show is as expected completely amazing!

All his fans are now crossing their fingers for a long overdue world tour!

For all of you out there who are lucky enough to live close to Las Vegas, make sure to catch his last shows!

The last dates might be April 27 and 28.
